Six large stone columns rose out of the mountain top on both sides. There may have once been a roof resting on the top of these columns, but
now it was long gone. Siegard looked to the right, towards the
remaining piece of mountain, which was now the peak. He saw a large
ornate door, decorated with pictographs depicting warriors, beasts
and mountains. The door was in an alcove that had been carved out of
the mountain peak. The door was not the only thing he noticed. There
was a hearth ablaze with a crackling fire. There had been folk here,
recently. Its warm glow was a welcoming sight to this traveller, but
also an alerting one.

-----------------------------------------------------

He stepped out of the powdery deep snow, and onto the cobbled stone
floor. The floor still had a thin layer of snow covering it, but by
some sort of enchantment had managed to stay clear from the bulk of
the blizzard despite its open top. After seeing the fire, Siegard
hoped that it may be a bit warmer inside the caves, out of the
weather. “Unlikely” he thought to himself. Weary of what might
lurk inside, he made his way towards the door.

------------------------------------------------------

Half way across the courtyard a frightful roar broke out, ripping through
the howling wind. Turning sharply and looking towards the sky, his
eyes trying to search through the dense mist and blizzard gusts,
Siegard saw what he had dreaded. A winded beast, minion of Alduin the
World Eater. Swooping down from the cover of the mist, its wings
beating in the cold its powerful jaw not refraining from making
deafening roars capable of piercing the strongest man’s soul. This
wing-ed beast was what Siegard had been warned of. It was a Dragon.

Nice description and story. I particularly liked how it was laid out. Can we expect a part two?

I will get around to it when I have the time. Possibly soon. Smile
