| I dunno man, I live in a place where last year it was the coldest place in the world. After it's been winter for a while and things start to melt, snow kinda starts to look like that. Though, it does look a little grainy in the photo. |

| I live in the North as well, if anything it is the artists interpretation. However, I have to say the snow DOES resemble snow that you might see in locations of -40 below, the snow crystallizes and becomes almost dense. At altitude the wind then carves similar shapes and patterns on the snow that you see in the photo. A mountaintop would do that. |
