I must get into them, I watched the first series and a bit of the second of the adaptation, busy life stopped me from watching. So reading them all then watching it is on my bucket list.

Also the A Song of Ice and Fire series.

Carl Sagan - Cosmos ... Classic

Well, I used to LOVE the Inheritance Series (Eragon, Eldest, Brisingr), but I love Kurt Vonnegut and his completely cynical point of view, and his incredibly entertaining books. I want you all to go read Slaughterhouse Five. I also like "The Circle Trilogy".

The Golden Age (by John C. Wright) and the two other books in that trilogy. Seriously, I have never been so completely enraptured and fascinated by another piece of literature. AMAZING series. My username is taken from the protagonist.

I guess it's worth noting that this is hardcore science fiction, but it still has kind of a high-fantasy feel to it. Sooooo awesome!

witcher books and pretty much all from Tolkien. I don't read much books because i don't find time to do so and i only read demanding fantasy and i don't know too many books of that type.

Anyone read ' A Wise Man's Fear'? I received it as an christmas present and have started reading it recently. Afaik it contains dragons and a red headed ninja assassin super duper hero.... maybe a dragon-slayer.

What Nightblade said and that I don't really care about books at that time. Since I watched the movie I rather not read the book unlike Harry Potter books or The Lightning Thief. Dam orangutans stop making the movies suck.

I actually haven't read the lotr. I know I'm going to take some crap for this, but after reading all the way through the Hobbit and about halfway through the Fellowship of the Ring, I just quit. It seemed to me like it was dragging on forever, and I got pretty bored of it. I was in elementary school at the time, so that may have had something to do with it, but I have never gone back and tried to re-read it.

My point exactly. You should read at least Fellowship of the Ring, zero. Its really good and I promise you'll like it, or your time back!

How does one so gain back the time that he has wasted? Human technology is not that advanced yet. Maybe in the next two generations but garenteed not this generation or century.
