The entire landscape was coated in white. The first snow-fall of the year had come and the entire world had taken a turn for the cold, bleak white. Even now fat, puffy drops of snow drifted lazily through the air, disturbed only occasionally by the infrequent wind. Far, far in the distance a wolf howled to Masser and Secunda cloaked behind gray clouds.

Allvis remained still in the quickly deepening snow. A bow and a lone arrow were clutched in a single gloved hand. His other hand lay over his mouth to prevent his breath from billowing out. His arms and legs had long ago gone numb. Only his fingers moved, slowly, back and forth. When that moose stepped out of the brush and into the frosted clearing, he would be ready. Even now he could see it's form, blurred by the snow and the thick pine trees.

"Just a few more minutes... Just a few more minutes..." Allvis said to himself, again and again. His eyes remained focused on the Moose in the brush, his whole body tensed and ready to spring.

In an instant the moose bounded into the clearing at a dead run, snorting in fear. Allvis leapt to his feet and nocked the arrow in a single move. In the same motion he let the arrow fly at the moose. Allvis' whole body screamed in protest as feeling flooded his arms and legs.

THUNK.

The arrow buried itself in a tree and the Moose bounded onwards, it's massive frame dissappearing into the night and the snow.

"Damnit!" Allvis cursed. "Hircine catch you!" He shouted after the Moose. His voice was swept away on the dark air. He turned to go and retrieve his arrow from the tree and froze in his tracks.

A wolf was bounding through the snow towards him and plumes of snow being thrown up behind the shaggy beast. Allvis frantically reached for the dagger at his belt as the wolf gained on him, but before the knife was even half-way out of the sheathe the wolf sprinted past him. Allvis whirled to face it and was met with the retreating wolfs backside.

"What in the wisdom of the Emperor is going on?" Allvis muttered to himself. It was then that he heard the thumping. Steady and rhythmic. Almost like wings. 'Like a giant Hawk' Allvis thought to himself.

Just as Allvis was preparing to leave again, something swooped over the clearing. It was impossible to see in the snow and the dark, but it's presence was felt none the less. Whatever it was, it was big.

"I really don't need that arrow. I really don't." Allvis said, glancing at it. He turned and headed for the trees, drawing his cloak tighter around him as he went. Just as he got under the trees protective branches, he felt it again. A massive creature had just landed in the clearing.

Allvis turned slowly.

"No... a child of Alduin" Allvin whispered.

The dragon simply stared at him with giant, reptilian eyes. it's wings tucked up to it's side and it's massive tail swinging back and forth.

Allvis turned to run and the dragon opened it's mouth.

"YOL TOOR KREIN" The dragon shouted.

And Allvin was envoleped by the fiery inferno of the sun.

That was great. You have a very good writing style.

Really? Because while I was writing it I felt as if it was too generic. Thank you though=)

At first, I thought this was your character bio... then you died. Well written, if I could write like this, I would put the story in my mind into words that'd I post.

What I was really trying to do here was think of some sayings that people of Skyrim/the Empire would have.
