The largest and most powerful of the Dwemer artifacts, designed in the form of an armored warrior. They are also the rarest. They were most likely produced to be war-machines, as they feature on one arm an extendable mace, which they use predominantly in combat, and on the other arm features a three-fingered hand. They are the most powerful, and probably the most advanced, construct found in the game. The book Ruins of Kemel-Ze implies that the constructs have a weakness to frost and magic attacks, due to the water/steam that drives them. This, however, is untrue in the actual game. By contrast, they are actually very resistant to magical attacks, frost included.

Just an update guys, I know I've been being slow in the posting department. I blame school, work, and Battlefield 3 sucking up my spare time. However, by tonight or tommorow night I will have my Spriggan/Clannfear write-up.

Not pushing this on you Zeroazer but would you like to speculate what Steam Centurions will be like in Skyrim? You can get a pretty good look at one in the Concept art video posted in another thread.

No problem Algerin, I have the same problems you do, plus I am trying to spend as much time with my girlfriend now because I already warned her about me not being able to go out for awhile after November 11th.
I'll look into more stuff for us to look at and after you post stuff tonight, I will look into the biology, morphology and other aspects of it to compliment your research.

Spriggans

Spriggans are part-plant, part-natural creatures that take the form of human females covered in bark, sap, flowers and leaves. They are seen as the protectors of natural places and have two unique abilities: Regeneration and Conjuration. They are also resistant to shock. Due to their differing appearance in games, it cab be hypothesized that there are at least three stages to a Spriggans life: Winter, Spring and Summer(or possibly Fall). For simplicity I will go from Spring, to summer/fall and finally to Winter.

Spring Spriggan

The first stage of a Spriggans life. These Spriggans are young, colorful and covered in flowers. They also have the ability to summon black bears to defend themselves and may even curse those that wish them harm.

The Skaal believe that the All-Maker created Spriggans by breathing life into trees. While the Spriggans we see in-game always appear in one size, a Spriggan likely does not stop growing. The most important thing is water and sunlight for a plant, and the bigger a tree is, the more sun and water it can absorb. The same is likely true for Spriggans. The entire Spring phase of a Spriggans life is likely just to collect water and sunlight to prepare for the summer phase of their life.

Summer Spriggan

The Summer Spriggan is a much more base Spriggan. It is overgrown with leaves and a primal light glows in its eyes. This is the reproductive phase of the Spriggans and the time that they are most deadly. Summer Spriggans will wander the land reeking of pollen and sap. It is doubtful that Spriggans require an opposite gender mate like most animals. Instead, Spriggans likely contain reproductive organs for both genders and both are fertilized by coming in contact with another Spriggans pollen. The fertilized Spriggans will then do everything in their power to protect themselves. This phase quickly moves onto the final stage of a Spriggans life.

Winter Spriggan

The final phase of a Spriggans life is the Winter Phase. Here Spriggans lose their leaves and flowers and become vicious, cruel creatures. The Spriggan is still fertilized however, and upon being killed, will return again. Upon being killed a second time, they will return a third time. Each time the Spriggan grows stronger and more hateful, until finally it is killed. The Spriggans corpse will lay until Spring, when the flowers on it will blossom into full grown Spring Spriggans.

If a Winter Spriggan is NOT killed however, it may grow into a partcularly large and healthy tree. This spot would be fiercely defended by both Spriggans and other creatures of nature.

Earth Atronarchs?
We all know about the Fire, Ice and Storm Atronarchs. But could it be possible that Spriggans are the fourth Atronarchs? Trees represent nature, and the other three elements all have Atronarchs. Furthermore, they even appear to look similar to the fire atronarchs in Oblivion. Without more evidence however, this is all just a guess.

Clannfear
Clannfears are medium sized, dinosaur-like creatures found in the realm of Oblivion -http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Clannfear

Clannfear are small to medium sized, quadrapedal Daedra with a sharp beak and claws. Their hide is scaled or "Pebbled" and is anywhere from green to gray in color. They have a prominent head frill, which is quite useful for the head-butting attacks they make.

The House of Troubles Clannfear

These Clannfear are surprisingly slow. They are colored green and have a more pronounced skin texture. They resemble large chameleons. These Clannfear are found in ruins scattered across Vvardenfell. These creatures are much weaker, slower and primitive then those seen during the Oblivion crisis. It can be speculated that these are "natural" Clannfear as found in Oblivion.

Mehrunes Clannfear

The much nastier, far more vicious version of the Vvardenfell Clannfear. They are faster, meaner and can reflect damage back at their attacker. Most likely these are not "Natural" Clannfear, but rather the vicious raiders and guard dogs of Mehrunes Dagons army.

Unlike their "natural" brethren, these Clannfear were bred(or magically altered) for war. In combat, they would serve a few roles: Light Calvary and Raiding. They are first and foremost skirmishers. Getting them into formation would be difficult, and charging a spear wall would be near suicidal for the Clannfear. But in a situation where they can pick off targets one by one and even turn damage back at their attackers, they become much more dangerous. A smart military commander would use Clannfear to raid vulnerable villages, supply lines and to prevent retreat.

In the Wilds
The Clannfear is obviously a simplistic creature. It can be speculated that they are much like Mundus' Wolves an dogs. They are fierce, wild creatures that hunt in packs and attempt to out-maeunever their prey. It is not hard to imagine them circling and headbutting Oblivions other creatures down before using their sharp claws an beak to devour it's flesh.
